Many career talks have taken place in Tullamore College. This picture was taken after the very informative talk by Jonny Cooper. Jonny spoke about the courses and facilities available in DCU. It is fascinating to see how skills developed through sport can translate to the world of work.
As well as career talks students have the opportunity to attend open days that are taking place around the country.

Tullamore College Awareness Week 2018
Tullamore College took part in another successful College Awareness Week. Students had the opportunity to partake in many activities held during the week. Activities included interactive workshops from Athlone Institute of Technology, a College Open Day visit to Maynooth University, talks from Laois Offaly Education Training Board on Post Leaving Certificate Courses, plus many more in school activities on the CAO, Career Areas and the various Colleges. One of the most beneficial of the events, with extremely positive feedback, was "Drop Everything and Talk about College". The teachers of Tullamore College, together, dedicated ten minutes of their class time to talk about their college journey and experiences.
The Guidance Department would like to formally thank all people both inside and outside the school community for their help in making this a very successful College Awareness Week. College Awareness Week highlights the many different opportunities available to our students. The Guidance Team in Tullamore College makes this a year round event as there are numerous resources available to inform students on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis about the many pathways to lifelong education. |
